“Aloha Andrea,
What can I say.... MAUI WAS OUTSTANDING! Our days started early (I walked
Kamaole every morning at 6:00am barefoot in the sand... an absolute indulgence
if I may say so, to start my day) and ended late. Can't think of a darn
thing we didn't do. Practically a new beach every day, boogied Fleming,
Polo, Hamoa (hope I'm spelling them right) and of course Makena. Waves
at Makena were outstanding. Molokini cruise was a bit disappointing,
better snorkeling at Ahihi, Black Rock, La Perouse and Honolua Bay. Suffice
to say we Snorkeled our brains out and saw lots of turtles and rare glimpse
at a barracuda at Black Rock. Took the trip to Lanai and saw the dolphins
(great fun), actually saw a lot of dolphins right at Po'olenalene beach.
The sunrise bike tour down Haleakala was a real treat, but crikey it
was cold at the top... stars were outstanding (would definitely recommend
this). Sunset dinner cruise out of Lahania was fun. The Old Lahania Luau
was top notch, golfed one round ($220 U.S.) at the famed Plantation course
in Kapalua (had to), wife took a helicopter ride and enjoyed, rented
scooters for a day in Kihei and a real treat was to drive to Hana all
the way around... absolutely beautiful. Shopped Wailea (my heart be still
at the prices) and probably every store at least twice in Lahaina and
Whalers. Ate like pigs at various restaurants all over the Island, enjoyed
the fruit and of course the tropical cocktails (love those LavaFlows).
Mama's fish house was very good. Every day we included time at the beach
and played in the water and sun... this is what I come to Maui for really
and it has never disappointed. Took oodles of pictures and damn near
cried as we all wanted to be back on Maui when we saw them.
Could not have asked for better weather. Would definitely recommend buying
groceries at Costco and yes, we did shop Wal-Mart. Spent a crap load
of money but had a fantastic time and all here are wishing we were still
there. (would recommend direct flights from Vancouver to Maui instead
of transfer in Oahu... tiring and a pain in the butt) This was the fourth
trip (and for the most part the best one) for my wife and myself but
the first for the other couple with us and they were blown away with
the beauty of Maui.
As for the condo... was truly great, fit our needs perfectly and the
outlook was wonderful. Was very pleased that the traffic noise of south
Kihei road was not a factor and the location and accommodation was all
that you said it would be. The grounds were immaculate and the staff
very attentive the few times we were in need. Parking was right in front,
extremely quiet at night, pools were great and well used and the partial
ocean view was a plus. We all were a bit sad to leave "our wonderful
condo" and hope to return soon. (a minor point, the kitchen was
a little under supplied with dishes, Tupperware, etc for a party of four
and the living room air conditioner was always kicking out) We bought
beach chairs, umbrellas, beach mats, etc and left them in the condo for
others to use. Would definitely return to Maui Kamaole.
I could go on, but you're probably asleep already reading all this. Just
to say a big THANK YOU for your efforts in helping us with our vacation
plans and I will be more than happy to send any vacation referrals your
way.

I just wanted to let you know that we arrived safe and sound. The condo
is AWESOME!!! We got to the check in place with no problem and talked
with a helpful girl named Tamra, who called today while we were out
to see if all was OK. It's more than OK. Whomever owns this condo has
gone out of their way to make their guests feel at home. We both love
the Hawaiian shirt placemats and the little things that make it a Hawaiian
home. The view is incredible. Mahalo to you for all your help. Today
we got our tickets to the "thing" and were really excited
to see that Keali'i is going to be there. We haven't seen him since
98 and we're excited!!! Well, again, thank you sooooooooo much for
all your help in making our vacation an awesome experience. OHHHHHH
by the way, there is a hair dryer and CD player, plus a VCR in the

I'd written you a note right after I got back, but I guess it got lost
in email heaven. No matter.
We had a fantastic
trip. The condo was perfect for us; it was
a really nice place and its location right
on the ocean was perfect. We loved being to
make breakfast & sit and eat it while the
sun came over the volcano behind us. The apartment
was clean & comfortable and the staff was
quite nice (although it did take us two days
to figure out that we needed to go to the front
desk to get fresh beach towels :-)). All of
the arrangements (condo check in and car rental)
went very smoothly.
It is difficult in
words to describe how nice the Hana Maui hotel
is. It is an incredible facility, such lovely
surroundings and a really wonderful, wonderful
hotel. Tian's eyes just about popped out when
he saw the room. Neither one of us wanted to
leave there. It was a great way to finish up
our trip. thanks for getting us such a fabulous
room…your reputation precedes you!! and
it really pays off for us guests!

“Dear Andrea,
I'm sorry it's taken me so long to write to you. As you might recall,
I was in the process of moving while at the same time planning our "family
vacation" to Maui. Well, the move went well and the trip was more
than we could ever have dreamed.
The Mana Kai condo
was absolutely perfect. With the lanai overlooking
the beautiful beach, steps away from the sand,
we couldn't have had a better location. My
mother-in-law was thrilled, and spent many
hours out on the lanai just watching and listening
to the waves. We did make a few journeys during
the trip. We drove to Hana, visited Lahaina
town, went on the Reefdancer and to the Maui
Ocean Center and experienced the Old Lahaina
Luau. We spaced out such events so as to make
sure the trip was not too exhausting. For the
rest of the time we mostly went to the beach
and enjoyed the golden sand and warm waves.
The trip was a really beautiful gift, and a
time the family will cherish forever. Thank
you for your thought and consideration in helping
me put such a wonderful memory together for
them.

of my in-laws, Dennis and Helen, below. I think
you can see from the glow on their faces (as

"Dear Jill,
It was absolutely fantastic! I was going to write to you even before
I got your message. We couldn't have been happier with the place. It
suited our needs perfectly. We attended a conference for several days
at the Hyatt Regency after we left the condo. That was the reason for
our trip. The Hyatt of course was excellent- in a different way. But
we were so glad we had had a chance to be at the condo. To us it was
more relaxing and more of a beach-type vacation spot. The view could
not have been better.
The condo was super.
There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't
there! - beach towels, plenty of bath towels,
beach chairs, cooler, kitchen equipment and
appliances- The view was exactly what I pictured
when I thought of Hawaii. We loved relaxing
on the balcony - but we were never there long
enough! We did catch several sunsets, and the
stars were magnificent. We could have easily
spent 3 months there. We used it as home base
to tour Haleakala, the Road to Hana, various
beaches, etc. It was perfect for us. The only
negative we had was that it could have been
a little cleaner. Most of it was fine, but
the bedroom could have been more spic and span.

were great and having the ability to use all
